#1: Introductions and Young Aloy

#3: Mother's Heart

The Carja and Oseram are here from the Carja Sundom to observe The Proving, but tensions are high due to the Carja's conducting The Red Raids. This is all new to Aloy, so we learn a lot about the Nora, Carja, Oseram, and the political state of Horizon Zero Dawn.

#6: The War-chiefs Trail and Revenge of the Nora

In this episode we are on the trail to track down War-chief Sona at the request of Varl. When we do find her, she asks for Aloy's help taking down some of the killers at a camp she found. That's not all of them though, and with the help of the Focus, Aloy is able to discover the location of the rest of the killers. The Nora take the fight to them to get revenge for the fallen.

We also meet Nil, an "honest" killer, as he likes to call himself. He introduces us to Bandit Camps, a great way to scratch that murder itch. Oh yeah, we find our first Tallneck as well.

#9: Daytower and The Gatelands

An Oseram expedition has setup camp in the northern part of the Stillsands. They call it Camp Nowhere, and they didn't name it because they like it there. Porguf, the leader of this expedition wants to move further south, but his workers don't want to go anywhere. They are too concerned with the fact that their only way out has collapsed. Aloy is there to provide a helping hand. Additionally, we help a Metalworker turned Tinkerer track down the source of a transmission she has been hunting down. #63: The Sea of Sands

Aloy is heading south to find POSEIDON in the ruins of Las Vegas. It doesn't look like POSEIDON is trying to hard to hide, considering there is a tower with water pouring out of it in the middle of the desert. On her quest Aloy runs into three Oseram showmen who are trying to find "Embers" to take back to the claim and put on a great show. Things aren't going to well for them right now, though. Aloy and the showmen team up to get Aloy down to the old Las Vegas strip where, besides being completely flooded, has a brand new big machine for us to deal with. It's called the Tideripper, and it doesn't take much to figure out why.

#64: Merging POSEIDON and Drowned Hopes

Aloy has successfully secured POSEIDON and now its time to merge it with GAIA. After the merge, GAIA doesn't have much to say, but Beta does. Well, at least Varl thinks so. Aloy, not so much. Beta tells us about Tilda, one of the Far Zenith members we saw at the HADES Proving Lab. After that, we do our rounds at the base to catch up with everyone. Varl is learning more about the Faro plague, Kotallo is enjoying his Focus, and, according to Erend, Zo tried to kill him. Finally, we head back to No Man's Land to complete the side quest Drowned Hopes.

#66: Merging DEMETER and Exploring The Stillsands

With three sub-functions captured, its time to focus on capturing HEPHAESTUS. All things considered, HEPHAESTUS seems to have done well for itself after separating from GAIA. It's not contained to a single device, its processing power rivals GAIA, and its created some killer (in both the literal and cool way) machines. It seems that HEPHAESTUS has even been able to rewrite parts of its own code to protect itself from Aloy. This won't be easy, but with the help of Beta, there is a plan. On this episode we focus on the main quest Faro's Tomb. From a story perspective, this quest may be the most impactful since we made it to the base and rebooted GAIA. At the end of Zero Dawn, Ted was clearly unraveling, and it looks like that didn't stop after he destroyed APOLLO and killed the Alpha's. Seyka is searching for the missing Quen scouts, while Aloy is looking to find info on where to find Londra and what he is planning. Seyka is surprised to see that not only were the Quen there, but they were excavating a ruin. She just can't figure out why. Aloy is able to discover more information about Londra, as the information found in the facility reveals a great deal about his old life and corporate dealings. While they're able to figure some things out, Starlight Rise also leaves them pondering new questions.

The missing Quen have joined some kind of Londra cult, and are looking to join him in something called the Ascension. Aloy and Seyka investigate to find out what this Ascension is, and it reveals a part of Londra's plan. Additionally, Aloy is forced to tell Seyka the truth about Nemesis, and the aftermath has Aloy questioning her feelings.

On the island we find out more about what happened between Londra and Evelyn, but also discover the truth behind MSP. We do find Kina, Seyka's sister, and it looks like she is all in on the Londra cult, and even might have the chance to fill an important role in Londra's plan. We also get a chance to talk to Nova, Londra's AI assistant, it gives us a bunch of new information regarding Londra and his plans.

With Seyka's mission complete, her sister secured, and the Quen saved, it's time for Aloy and Seyka to face Londra. He told them he dug something up to squish them like bugs, and he meant it. They take on the biggest fight of their lives, with the fate of many of the tribes at stake. We discuss this absolutely massive fight that flexes the power of the PS5, and its aftermath. Aloy and Seyka also address the elephant in the room, as Seyka tells Aloy how she feels about her. We discuss Aloy's choices, and what we thought the canon answer is.

#90: The Splinter Within

We only talk about one side quest in this episode, but based on the information it provides about the Quen, it felt like there was a lot to talk about. Aloy comes across Theoa, a Quen at Fleet's End who is part of a splinter group within the tribe that is trying to "undermine" the Board of Compliance. Undermine seems like an understatement. The quest itself isn't that long, but she tells us more about the Board and how they operate, which paints a much darker picture of the Great Delta than we have seen before. Side note, we do get to visit the ruins of LAX in this quest, so that was nice.

We're finishing up the remaining side quests for Burning Shores. First, we find out that there are still Quen being held by Londra's soldiers. Otosu is looking for help to free Lan, but turns out, he's not being 100% honest with us. We talk about why this side quest offers one of the best arena's to fight human in the entire series, and also the level of sass Lan gives Aloy.

Next, we discover a repeating message in the ruins of Los Angeles. That message leads us to a familiar voice trapped behind a door. When we get it open, we're reunited with an old friend from the Frozen Wilds. We help him track down his missing "friend".

#93: Epilogue and Final Thoughts on Burning Shores

Its been a LONG road, but we're finally here at the final episode for Burning Shores, as well as the true final episode for Forbidden West. We start by talking about the epilogue between Sylens and Aloy, where we discover a new hope in defeating Nemesis. We then move to talking about the companion datapoints left behind by each of your allies from the base. Most reveal where they are headed, but Sylens' datapoint has some information that affects the entire plot of Burning Shores.

We then discuss what systems we'd like to see improved, plot lines we would like to see resolved, and places we would like to visit in the next Horizon game. We end by talking about the future of Lightkeeper Protocol, as well as what is next for both Jaa and Poptart.

LEGO Horizon Adventures!

We talk about how the world of Horizon looks in LEGO form, the differences from the original game from the story to the characters, and what the gameplay and combat looks like. Oh yeah, we also give an little update on ourselves as well. It was nice to be able to dabble back into the world of Horizon, even if its not really Horizon.
